Retrospective 2022 in a few key dates:
January 2022 – THE PLEDGE certification for Veranda Tamarin
At the beginning of 2022, our bohemian and Creole style boutique hotel received the ”Gold” certification of The Pledge on Food Waste, in recognition of its commitment to reducing food waste by adopting new waste practices, reducing unnecessary costs, and focusing on local suppliers who share the same values.

May 2022 – Green Key Certification for Veranda Resorts Hotels
In May, Veranda Resorts became the only boutique hotel brand on the island to receive Green Key sustainable certification. It required constant dedication and determination since 2021 from the team members of all Veranda hotels across the island to finally obtain this certification! This demonstrates the group’s efforts to develop an environmentally friendly, sustainable, and responsible business.

June 2022 – Veranda Resorts 40th anniversary campaign
In June, the Veranda Resorts group celebrated its fortieth year of existence, with as a reference date, 1982, the opening year of the Veranda Grand Baie Hotel & Spa. To celebrate this milestone in our history, Veranda Resorts launched in June 2022 an awareness campaign on social media recalling the highlights of this admirable journey.
August 2022 – Veranda Pointe aux Biches welcomes its new Manager
Vikram Gajeelee took over the management of our haven of serenity with its “barefoot” concept in August. Strong of his years of experience and full of determination, he has consolidated our Veranda Resorts team with the same commitment, which is to welcome you with the heart, to make you discover with passion, to make you dream with emotion!

October 2022 – Support to Tina Staub
We supported in October an athlete with a big heart and a strong mind who was about to swim around Mauritius in only 9 days, in order to raise funds for muscular dystrophy! It’s done, after 198 km spent at sea, Tina collected more than Rs 1 000 000 for the association and we were proud to support such a cause!

November 2022 – New Veranda Resorts website
Last month, we launched our brand-new website, more modern, fresher, more ergonomic, more US! This website, which is the image of our brand Veranda Resorts, we were proud to show it to you because it truly reflects us today!

November 2022 – Kite surfing at Veranda Palmar Beach
Last month, we opened our kite surfing school located on the beach of the hotel! From now on, at Veranda Palmar Beach, three times a week you can practice kite surfing initiations on the fine sand beach, or guided sessions with a professional on the crystal-clear lagoon.

November 2022 – Veranda Tamarin welcomes kids with no minimum age
Veranda Tamarin Hotel & Spa is now a “Kids friendly” hotel with a kids’ club located in a lush garden with a paddling pool, a program for mini adventurers along with Family and Teenager rooms. Immersed in the festive atmosphere of Tamarin Bay, this spot is a must for music lovers and will be the ideal address for an authentic family vacation!
December 2022 – Mauritian festive season
This festive season 2022 will be immersive and will be lived in music! Our hotels have concocted for you the best of Mauritius in a program of 100% local activities that will highlight Mauritian culture, traditions, music, and cuisine without forgetting the much-awaited Christmas and New Year celebrations.
